Who can apply? Only techies? No.

You will be mentored by a great team, including Shemeer, Jinso, Megha and Sumi.

  1. aikyam solver [2 Years]

Congrats! You have completed the 1st stage! Now as an aikyam solver [salary could range between ₹35,000 - 50,000 per month], you will be placed with different NGOs across India for short periods of time. You will be involved in solving real world problems with these amazing NGOs. You will also continue to learn and will be training new aikyam fellows.

  1. aikyam partner: [optional] You move on to the next level in the aikyam journey, where you will manage a team of solvers and train fellows, while working on your own projects to help NGOs directly.
  2. aikyam co-founder: [optional] After 2-3 years of being an aikyam partner, if you feel that you are excited to continue being a part of aikyam, you can look at becoming a co-founder.

FAQS

  1. What are some of the values that aikyam believes in?

Great question. You can read about how we started and our values here https://aikyamfellows.org/team . We will enjoy working together if you also identify with some or all of those values.

  1. Why is the stipend only ₹10,000 per month?

We are a not-for-profit organisation and do not charge our NGO clients any money for our time or resources. Due to this, we are able to support even the smallest of NGOs who may not have any financial resources at all but are doing great work. We believe in volunteering and encouraging young people to volunteer. At the same time, we didn't want to be exploitative with students who are already navigating through extraordinary circumstances with academics, mental health, and more. So, we have kept a nominal stipend amount. The stipend amount is not in anyway a reflection of your value. You all are much much more valuable and we hope you know that. But, currently, this is the best we can provide.

  1. Do I need to bring my own laptop?

Yes, we will provide work desks, WiFi, etc and any other tools you may need to have a successful internship experience.

  1. Which are some NGOs or change makers who will benefit from the interns works?

Here is a list of few NGOs we have helped recently, the NGOs that you will help will be similar to them and doing impactful work for vulnerable communities. Welive Foundation , Zenith , CSII , Freedom Fund, etc.

We know the skill-gap and ‘somewhat need to tick every box’ can get in the way of meeting brilliant candidates like you, so please don’t hesitate to apply – we’d love to hear from you.
